Gather & Grow - Parent Agreement
We’re so happy to welcome your family into our home-education hive. To keep our days safe, calm, and full of learning opportunities, we ask all parents and carers to read and agree to the following essentials:
Health & Illness
If your child is unwell, we ask that they stay home to rest and recover.
This includes:
- a fever
- vomiting within the last 24 hours
- diarrhoea within the last 48 hours
- any contagious illness
- anything that leaves them too uncomfortable to participate safely
Please share any allergies, medical needs, or important information with us so we can support your child.
Our No-Nuts Space
For the safety of children with allergies, please ensure no nuts or nut-containing foods are brought to Gather & Grow.
Farm & Outdoor Adventures
Our days take us across the farm: fields, animals, muddy corners, and cosy indoor spaces. We’ll guide children gently and keep a watchful eye on safety. Please send them appropiatley dressed for the weather and ready for exploring both indoors and outdoors.
Behaviour & Wellbeing
We support children with patience and kindness. If a child becomes unsafe, overwhelmed, or unable to settle, we may contact you for early pick up so we can care for everyone’s wellbeing.
Cancellations
If your plans change, cancellations made 7 days before the start of a session block can be refunded or credited.
Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable, as staffing and materials will already be in place.
Payment & Booking
To secure your child’s place, we ask for full payment upfront for each block of sessions. This helps us prepare resources, plan group sizes, and keep our hive running smoothly.
If we ever need to cancel a session, we will always offer a refund, credit, or make-up day.
Personal Belongings
Please label any important items. We’ll encourage children to care for their things, though we can’t take responsibility for lost or damaged belongings.
Emergency Care
If first aid or urgent medical help is needed, we’ll respond immediately and contact you as soon as possible.
Collection / Drop-off Safety
Children will only be released to the adults listed on their registration form unless you notify us in advance.
Late Collection
We understand that delays happen from time to time. If you are running late, please let us know as soon as you can so we can plan safely.
If late collection becomes a repeated occurrence, a late pick-up fee may be applied at our discretion to cover additional staffing time.
Photographs / Media Permission
We will always ask for your photo/media consent separately, and we’ll only use images in the ways you’ve agreed to.
Medication
We can only administer medication that has been agreed with you in writing.
Safeguarding
Your child’s safety is at the heart of everything we do. All staff at Gather & Grow are DBS checked and trained in safeguarding, and we follow clear procedures to keep children safe and supported.
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Nuala Moore, who oversees our safeguarding practice and is always available if you have any concerns or need to talk.
Agreement
By booking with Gather & Grow, you confirm you’ve read this agreement and shared any important health or contact information with us.
